NKURAKAN, E/R- Trinity International School at Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region has held its maiden graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to providing quality education and promoting the holistic development of children.
The colourful ceremony brought together parents, guardians, education stakeholders, invited guests, and members of the community to celebrate the achievements of the pioneer graduating class. The event featured academic awards, cultural performances, poetry recitals, choreography, and musical presentations by the pupils, showcasing their talents and reflecting the school’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded learners.
Addressing the gathering, the Headmistress, Mrs. Patience Odonkor, expressed gratitude to parents and staff for their unwavering support and dedication. She noted that the graduation symbolises not only the successful completion of one stage of the pupils’ educational journey but also the beginning of greater academic and personal achievements.
Mrs. Odonkor encouraged the graduates to remain disciplined, hardworking, and confident as they progressed to the next level of their education. She also urged parents to continue supporting their children’s academic pursuits and moral development.
Speaking on the theme, “Building on the Foundation Already Laid,” the PTA Chairman, Mr. Andrews Asare Mfum, commended the school’s management, parents, teachers, and pupils for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character development, and innovation in education.
He stressed the need to equip children with critical thinking skills, creativity, and strong ethical values to prepare them for future challenges in an increasingly competitive world.
Mr. Mfum noted that the school has the responsibility to provide a healthy and conducive learning environment, ensure the delivery of quality education, and maintain discipline among its pupils.
He also reminded parents of their responsibilities to provide nutritious meals, proper parental care, and the basic educational needs of their children. He encouraged them to maintain effective communication with teachers and actively support their children’s learning, including assisting with homework.
Mr. Mfum further charged the pupils to embrace continuous learning, remain disciplined, acquire valuable skills and qualifications, and use their knowledge and talents to make meaningful contributions to society.
Some parents expressed appreciation to the teachers and management for their dedication and the remarkable progress their children had made since enrolling in the school. They described the maiden graduation ceremony as a memorable occasion that reflects the institution’s steady growth and promising future.
Certificates and awards were presented to the graduating pupils and other students in recognition of their academic excellence, good conduct, leadership, and active participation in extracurricular activities.
